Who are we and what do we do?

Mews Systems is a Dutch software company with its Development, Support, and Product Management teams based in Prague. We have developed a Property Management System solution for the 21st century hotelier. The fully cloud-based solution comes with a built-in online check-in, payment automation, modern user interface, and is fully mobile optimized. All these features make it the most forward thinking solution on the market today.

Fun facts:

  • Currently, we have 350+ hotels in 35+ countries live on the platform
  • Our operation began in Prague in 2012, implementing the first hotel where all receptionists carry iPads (meaning no reception desk!)
  • 40% of all our guests currently complete online check-in
  • The largest hostel using our platform has 1,200 beds

What will you do?

We are a young and fast-growing company, so we are looking for someone who is not afraid of a challenge. As Technical Writer, you’d be a part of our new Product Management team. You’ll be working on several different projects, writing about and documenting all of our crucial information all while fighting for user perspective. Our products include both web applications and mobile applications (iOS, Android), which means you’ll be the responsible for describing these applications clearly and concisely to our everyday users.

In addition to writing, You would be working closely with Operations and Development teams, testing and ensuring quality of new features, so that you are better able to understand and therefore describe processes that are most important.

What skills do you need?

  • Proficient knowledge of French/German/Spanish grammar
  • Ability to test and document newly implemented and upcoming features
  • Comfortable working with project management tools
  • Higher Education, minimum of Bachelor’s degree
  • Hospitality experience is an advantage
